As of January 1, 2019, www.avg.com/retail products will no longer be updated with new security features for Windows XP and Windows Vista operating systems. As customer demand in www.avg.com/retail has grown for Windows 7 and other newer versions, the need for products that support Windows XP and Vista has decreased. In order to receive new feature releases of www.avg.com/activate, users will be required to update their Windows operating system for Avg activation code.
Users who do not update by January 1 will remain on an older version of the security products, which will continue to receive virus definitions updates and provide protection, but will not receive the regular automatic updates of new program versions with new features. www.avg.com/activate recommends, however, that all www.avg.com/activation users update their Windows systems in order to stay protected with our most cutting-edge security features.
